Farming.....it's that time again!

It's time to start planning for this upcoming year on the farm, Shady Creek Farm that is..  Our seed catalogs have come in and we've already started drooling over them.  I love the planning part of the year because we have so many aspirations for this upcoming growing season.  We want to do so much but we never have enough time or enough help to accomplish everything.  Hopefully and prayerfully, we'll be able to plan well enough to get many many things accomplished for our CSA members this year and for selling at the markets as well.  I gotta have faith that we'll be able to get everything accomplished!

Target Deals Scored 1/9/10 and 1/10/10

Update:  Oh yeah, and that picture sure does make you realize how far my family is from eating real traditional whole foods.  Very very far from it!
My sister and I went to Target last night  to use her All Small & Mighty $2.00 coupons.  They ran out today and she had a lot left.  Honestly, I'm amazed at what amazing deals we got there.  First, we bought things of course we had coupons on and they had to be pretty good deals for us to buy them in the first place.  I bought some Gerber onesies for my son and two shirts for $3 each.  Also, Dixie paper plates, some of the cute little travel size bandaids and first aid kits to go.  My total before the coupons for the All Small and Mighty travel size was about $17 or so.  Final price I paid was $5.77!  Honestly, I was stunned when I walked out of there last night.  And then we went back today to get some more.  Today my total should have been somewhere around $25 or so.  I paid $7.69!  I bought so much stuff today it was crazy.  The picture I've posted is from today's shopping trip.  Let me know what kind of deals you've scored lately!

Bloom Update ~ More Stores Participating!

Okay, so I just got through calling the Bloom store in Fort Mill, SC, the Bloom on Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road in Charlotte, NC, and the Bloom on North Tryon St. in Charlotte, NC.  All of them are participating in the Super Double Deal going on now through Tuesday, January 12, 2010.  Awesome!  Now I don't have to travel quite as far!!  Basically, the super double deal is where coupons are doubled that are $1.99 or below.  That means, if you have a $1.50 coupon, it's now worth $3.00, or if you have a $1.75 coupon, it's now worth $3.50

Harris Teeter ~ Super Double Coupons ~ January 6 thru January 12

Okay folks, I know I'm a little late on posting this but Harris Teeter is doubling manufacturer coupons that are up to $1.98.  I know most coupons aren't exactly $1.98.  But there are a lot of them that are $1.50 or $1.00.  Unless you see a great deal this week, I'd focus mostly on the $1.00 and up coupons.  Here's there coupon policy.  Make sure you read up on it before heading over to Harris Teeter this week.  And make sure you shop often because that means you can get more for your money.  And remember, they will only double 20 coupons per day/transaction.

Fresh Berries Coupon!

 
I found this amazing coupon today.  You really don't find many coupons for fresh produce.  I found a coupon for $.50 off any package of Driscoll's raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, or strawberries.  It expires 2/1/2010.  Paired with a good sale and doubled it could make for a very sweet deal.

Babies R Us Deals

Okay, so I went to Babies R Us on Friday with my husband and my sister.  We had printed out a total of I think 11 Earth's Best diaper coupons.  We bought 11 packs of Earth's Best diapers in size 5 and size 6.  We got up so early thinking we needed to get to the store early Friday morning in case there was a rush on them.  I don't know, but I think we were the only ones rushing them.  I mean, they don't stock that many anyways.  So, you really needed to get there early is what we were thinking.
