Eating Local and Traditional Real Foods

This year my husband and I are going to start on our journey (again) of eating locally and traditionally starting January 1, 2010. We will hopefully use this blog for keeping us accountable. It is really hard for us. We'll go a couple of weeks doing pretty okay with traditional meals and real whole foods and then we start getting really busy and stopping by some fast food place because we don't have time to make a real meal. So, this is it.  We really mean it!
We have two of our favorite books, Eat Fat, Lose Fat, and Nourishing Traditions.  I think one of the hardest things for us is planning out our meals.  We actually have to think about our meals for the whole week.  I hope to keep you updated every couple of days with how it's going for us.  Our preparation methods and everything else.  Also, if and when we get a camcorder, we'll be updating you with cool videos of things we're trying to make ourselves.

If you haven't gotten the books yet, please go to Amazon and check them out.

Also, I frequently look at some really good websites that talk about and support traditional real foods.

I'll keep you updated.  I would love to hear your comments on this.  Do you follow a real food diet?
